a permission prompt, a ten-second drain, a renamed folder
a public channel gets an approval card. a local index gets ten seconds to die. a markdown app moves the folder that tells an agent where it is.
1. AgentConnect makes existing agents ask first
AgentConnect v2.4.0 changes the default for existing agents to “Also approve tool calls.” New agents instead begin in the permission mode their runtime supplies.
The same release replaces a broad chat setting with three levels: talk only, approve tool calls, or change settings. It also says cross-conversation reads and writes are judged by the access of the person making the request, while memory is split by the audience able to see each conversation. A bot no longer joins a public Slack channel automatically; it asks the person behind the turn.
The release turns a global chat switch into a decision tied to both a person and an audience.

2. XERJ gives shutdown ten seconds, twice
A fresh XERJ commit describes an unglamorous failure: a plain-HTTP request could stay parked during shutdown, leaving the process alive after SIGTERM until SIGKILL arrived. The TLS path already had a 10-second graceful-shutdown cap. The HTTP path did not.
The patch gives the listener the same deadline and places another 10-second limit around the final flush. The useful caveat is in the commit message: a skipped final flush is non-destructive because documents live in the WAL and replay at next boot. The underlying finalize-refresh flush wedge is still open.
After the deadline, the process can stop; work missing from its final flush comes back through WAL replay at the next boot.

3. PerMark replaces TrailMark’s command and folder
PerMark v0.5.6
renames the former TrailMark app, its command, its MCP server, and its project directory. On first opening a project, .trailmark/ becomes .permark/; settings, recent folders, and notes are meant to come across with it.
The release also names the snag that tends to appear after a clean migration sentence: agents configured with the old trailmark command need their connection setup run again. The local material may survive the rename; any automation calling the old command still needs rewiring.

left on the table
web-edit 0.1a2 adds clipboard buttons for text and images. Handy, but too small a change to inflate into its own dispatch.
